Your responsibilities
- Support WHH’s country offices and partner organizations in developing country strategies, which are well-aligned to the global strategy with regards to food system transformation and nutrition-orientation.
- Facilitation of online and/or in-person workshops and advisory sessions to guide country teams towards food systems transformative approaches (systems thinking, operationalization of frameworks and tools, achieving nutrition-orientation).
- Collaborate with WHH’s global technical team to develop guidance, provide training, and assist country offices and partners in conducting local, national, or regional food system assessments.
- Technical support for developing, implementing, monitoring, and adapting food system transformation projects.
- Advise on indicator definition and measurement in cooperation with the MEAL team (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning), esp. on transformative change measurement.
- Guide country teams on processes, methods and tools to successfully facilitate multi-stakeholder transformation processes.
- Conduct content and quality reviews of project proposals at country and regional levels.
- Identify and support the roll-out of system transformative flagship interventions within the regional directorate.
- Support COs and RD in positioning with private and institutional donors for funding opportunities (network meetings, showcasing successes, presenting evidence).
- Represent WHH’s system transformative food systems work in regional technical networks, exchanges with peer organizations, and participation in community of practices and other stakeholder contacts.
- Regularly assess the progress and henceforth capacities and support needs of RD3 countries for food systems transformation.
Your profile
- A University or College degree in Nutrition or another field related to the position.
- Relevant work experience both in the area of foods systems and nutrition (e.g. market system development/food system analysis), preferably in Asia.
- Independent working style and pro-active engagement with country teams and other stakeholders.
- Recognizing the growing value of data to make evidence-based decisions.
- Good planing and priority setting.
- Excellent communciation and methodological skills for training and capacity building.
- Readiness to receive necessary vaccinations for working in Welthungerhilfe's program countries.
- Excellent English skills both written and spoken.
