About the job
General objective:
The Program Deputy Field Coordinator (P-DFC) is in charge of designing the local programmatic strategy, and promote the integration of SI core sectors, innovative approaches, and key partnerships for greater efficiency. She/he also supports the Field Coordinator (FC) as SI's external representative to all program-related stakeholders (local authorities and technical entities), local NGOs and CSOs, international operators. She/he will be in charge of keeping an updated and relevant partners' mapping be the and willl be local focal point for partnerships and for the roll out of the parnership strategy, including the close monitoring of the activites and budget transferred to partners.
She/he will initiate the future project proposals using the outcomes of the continuous local needs analysis and will carry out quality checking of reporting data, both for internal and external reports.
The main challenges:
- New set-up of the program team since January 2025, RACI exercise to be conducted.
- Corner stone position with a multitude of interlocutors (base, coordination, clusters, partners...).
- Security constraints in frontline areas may challenge the delivery of aid.
Priorities for the 2/3 first months:
- Ensure the implementation of the project management cycle and tools
- Update SI knowledge of the needs and gaps in our areas of intervention
- Develop the tools and methodology
Your profile
Education/academic background:
- Degree in the areas of international studies/development/dumanitarian studies
- More than 3 years of experience in the humanitarian sector
- More than 2 years of experience on a similar position
Specific skills and experience:
Technical skills:
- Basic knowledge of at least one of SI's sector (WASH preferably and/or Shelter)
- Proposal writing, strategy writing, needs assessment
- Institutional knowledge building
Transversal skills:
- Change management
- Analytic mindset
- Pedagogy
Language:
- English (mandatory)
- Ukrainian and/or Russian (an asset)
- French (an asset)
