WINGS seeks to recruit a Network and Ecosystems Assistant to join our global team to engage with our members, support the growth and engagement of the network and assist the work of our Regional Coordinators in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean.

Working under the direct supervision of the Membership and Engagement Coordinator and working closely with the Network and Ecosystems Director, this role will support the growth of the WINGS network and strengthen the engagement and participation of our members in the WINGS community, including through regional activities. This role will undertake day-to-day programmatic and administrative functions. It is anticipated that about 60% of the role will be assisting membership management and services, and 40% will be dedicated to regional activities.

The main responsibilities of the Network and Ecosystems Assistant will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Network and Ecosystems team to execute the WINGS Network and Ecosystems strategy and development plan;
  • Supporting member engagement and participation. This will include being the key point of contact for membership administration, supporting the successful completion of membership renewals, managing the Members Area and keeping up-to-date member databases in relevant systems and platforms;
  • Supporting a seamless experience for new and existing members, including general orientation, member onboarding process as well as communication with members to connect them with relevant spaces and initiatives;
  • Supporting the development and execution of the acquisition efforts to expand and diversify the WINGS network; collecting and analysing relevant data, supporting the outreach to prospective members, and keeping leads records up-to-date;
  • Supporting the coordination of WINGS working groups and communities of practice, including organisation of meetings, drafting, editing and preparing meeting minutes, developing presentations and supporting the group(s);
  • Coordinating and supporting the organisation of member activities to create an effective online and in-person community experience, including at the regional level;
  • Collaborating with and providing support to teams across WINGS to ensure quality facilitation of members’ engagement and participation in projects and initiatives that have the opportunity to engage and strengthen all of the WINGS membership, including at the regional level;
  • Assisting with the development of engagement promotion materials and resources and editing of membership collateral;
  • Updating and preparing overviews, membership mapping, data analysis and reporting on membership growth, engagement and participation using relevant digital tools such as CRM, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Supporting the successful execution and analysis of membership surveys, Annual Impact Overviews, and case studies.

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in other languages is appreciated;
  • Good, relevant administration and project management skills;
  • Attention to detail, organisational and time management skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and cross-cultural engagement with a broad range of stakeholders;
  • Proficiency in using computers and database systems and a good understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is desirable;
  • Ability to work both independently, remotely and as part of a global team;
  • Ability to deliver results against predefined targets, with visible ownership, follow-up and initiative;
  • Open-mind, dynamic, and learning attitude;
  • Global mindset: openness to and awareness of cultural and geographic diversity;
  • Experience abroad or working with international partners/ in a global setting is desirable;
  • 1+ year of professional experience; prior working experience in membership and community management is desirable;
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree.

This is a consultant position with full-time dedication. The role can be based anywhere as long as the successful candidate’s working hours overlap with Africa, Europe, and Brazil's working hours (UTC -3 to UTC +2).
