Summary:  

We are seeking a talented professional with experience in program implementation for the position of Program Manager. The Program Manager’s primary responsibilities include coordinating program elements within the Leadership and Social Impact program portfolio, specifically the Vital Voice Leadership Journey Program. The Vital Voices Leadership Journey (VVLJ) is a 7-week online course for women leaders who are looking to strengthen their leadership skills and make a positive impact in their community. The Program Manager works in close collaboration with cross functional departments to best serve the VV network leaders. The Program Manager works directly in partnership with the Program Manager LSI, Regina Da Silva and reports to the Senior Vice President LSI, Zoe Dean Smith.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage program elements to support all budget, project management and all logistical elements.
  • Facilitate the Vital Voices Leadership Journey curriculum to key audiences across various programs.
  • Manage donor management in collaboration with the Development team.
  • Manage fundraising activities and partnerships in collaboration with the Development team and other VV staff.
  • Manage vendor and trainer management and contracting processes.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to manage external communications for programs, including website updates, and social media promotion.
  • Build and maintain relationships with program participants and alumnae while facilitating connections across alumnae network.
  • Support the evaluation process in collaboration with the Tech & Data team.
  • Manage staff at the intern level.
  • Represent Vital Voices at relevant events and opportunities.

  • Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations or a related field, plus 4 to 8 years of relevant work experience required, OR Graduate degree in international relations or a related field, plus 3 to 8 years of work experience.
  • Experience in presenting curriculum to a variety of audiences preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in global women’s issues or related field.  
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English.  
  • Experience living, working, or studying internationally preferred.  
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, swiftly shift priorities, and work in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines, sometimes under difficult or challenging circumstances.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.  
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and self-awareness.  
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (esp. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), social networking tools, and database software (i.e., Salesforce, Alchemer, Canva).
