Fellow, Center for Health Policy
The Economic Studies program is accepting applications for scholars with interest in and research experience on Medicare, commercial insurance, or prescription drug policy. This individual will conduct research, policy analysis, writing, advising and convening on a variety of health policy issues.
The successful candidate should hold an advanced degree in economics or health policy and a deep understanding of health policy issues facing the United States and the world. We seek a candidate with a proven record of distinguished work and a record of publication in professional and academic journals or books.
The candidate must be able to lead independent research and competently lead issue-focused meetings, initiatives, high-level conferences, and other events without supervision. Strong candidates should have extensive contacts among the higher levels of the government, academic, media and/or business communities in the U.S., and must be comfortable working with high-ranking decision makers, senior government officials, current and potential funders, and Brookings senior management.
Salary and title will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Brookings may consider an option for a term-limited Visiting Fellow position depending on the ideal candidates’ availability.
